Willowtree Farms is a family operation run by Rod, Marlene, Jordan and Alex Mckay. We grow over 100 acres of hand picked produce as well as cash crop and we have a herd of limo/angus beef cattle. We grow over 30 different types of fruit and vegetables that start with asparagus and rhubarb in the spring and finish with pumpkins and squash in the fall. Our major crop is strawberries and we produce over 20 acres of summer and fall strawberries. We also grow 30 acres of sweet corn, 5 acres of cauliflower and broccoli, 3 acres of beans and over 4,000 tomato plants. We attend 10 farmers markets, as well as have farm market on our farm located 5 minutes west of Port Perry on Durham Road 21. We have been attending the Newmarket Farmers’ Market since it’s second year of operation.
